the streets are a men's world

In traditional Islam, it is the men's duty to go out and earn the money for the upkeep of their families, while the home is the women's responsability and their realm of power and influence. Women only venture out if they have a reason to, and if they do, hardly ever alone, but usually either in groups of two or three, or accompanied by a husband or male relative. Pakistani women are devoted mothers, caring wifes and engaged homemakers. It is their pride to dedicate their life to the wellbeing of their families.
